Does your pet die or get injured?

You don’t have to worry as pets in the game are immortal and invulnerable. They’ll be trusty companions that you don’t need to mind when you’re adventuring. They can’t go with you wherever you go like taking shelter from snowstorms or sandstorms but the won’t be affected by that at all.

When fighting enemies your dog will alert you of enemies but won’t be able to attack them. Same with fighting dangerous enemies like special mutants in the wilderness. Your dog cannot accompany you in certain locations like special instances or missions.
