How to Obtain Fusion Shards?

Fusion Shards are required to research new crafting recipes (formulas) in the Formula Research Station. These are quite rare but you can get them in a variety of ways:

1. Randomly get from buried treasures located by using Treasure Maps. NPCs in Stronghold Battle markers sell these in exchange for Exploits (points you get from completing a Stronghold Battle)

2. Open locked chests requiring Master Keys (e.g. those found in Farstar City)

3. Open rare chests from highly infected areas

4. Open Paradrop Chests in Farstar City or Charles Town

5. Buy using Fed Credits from the in-game Mall

6. Exchange for event-limited market and events.
