If I just sleep in game, does durability also restore?

If I just sleep in game, does durability also restore? Or does it only work if I "Use bed" then quit the Game?

You have to quit the game with armor and weapon equipped. Make sure to fully log out to have the effect apply, if you press quit and quickly close the app the durability regen will not apply.
