Energy will refresh in your game at a rate of one energy per two minutes until you are at your max capactity. So if your max is 100, then after just over three hours, you should have your whole game energy back.
Daily Challenges
There are lots of challenges every day that will get you more free energy. A lot of these tasks are more suited to accounts that have already made significant progress in the game but some of the tasks are still achievable by new players to the game.
New player 'out of energy' gift
When you are new player, the first two times that you run out of energy in the game you wil get given 100 free energy. This is to help you make some early progress in the game becuase energy can run out really fast before you have time to decide whether or not this is a game you want to continue to play more or not.
Level up
If you have enough coins try to complete buildings to level up your player account. When you level up, you normally get some free energy and another reward.
- Watch a free ad
Sometimes when you are out of energy and the prompt comes up on the game sreen which says you can purchase 100 more energy for 10 gems, at the bottom of that there may be a link to watch a video ad for 25 energy. You usually get about 3 chances to watch video ads per day, each for 25 energy.
- Connect your game to Facebook
When you connect your game to Facebook to the first time, you get 25 free energy.
- Free energy on the board
You may have some free energy on the board that you've forgotten to claim, or a free energy chest lying around. Use that to claim some energy. Normally it is best to merge your board energy until it reaches it's highest level before claiming though as that is the way to get the most energy from free board energy.
Invite friends
It's possible to get some free energy by inviting friends to the game that ends up joining and playing the game.
How to complete the weekly goals
There are some significant rewards up for grabs as you work your way through the weekly goals. These reset every week on Monday at 6 AM ET. The goals are split across seven days, and if you plan one completing enough to individual tasks to get the final reward you may well need to plan ahead.
The big advantage that you have is that you can see all of the tasks for the week ahead, and even though you can only claim the rewards on the days you have played in the week, you can start to complete the tasks for the whole week on any day.
The weekly goals do change from week to week, even if the same events run, so it's really important to have a check through what you need to do, because on most weeks if you miss more than one or two individual goals you may not have enough points to get the final reward, which is the best one.
The best way to complete the weekly goals is to start off well on the Monday when things change over, and the way I personally do that is that I use the week before to set up my board so that it is filled with high value items ready for Monday, or big orders are queued up so that when Monday arrives I'm ready to get a great start on both the weekly goals, but also the new events that start on Monday whatever they may be.
It helps as well if you've been able to stash away some energy. Again if you devote one week to accumulating energy from links etc... And devote some time to not filling orders, but instead preparing for the next week, you stand a much better chance of completing main events during the week and also completing all of the weekly goals.
