If a mayor of a camp goes inactive, how long before someone else can be the new mayor, or do I need..

I have no idea but recently I suddenly got an email saying that mayor has disappeared and I have been assigned as acting mayor which I can approve reject members and upgrade camp.

If your Mayor is inactive, the game system will choose the player who has the highest tax rate to become the acting mayor. Still, the acting mayor doesn't have many rights. Acting mayor can only accept or kick members(except the mayor adjust acting mayor's rights in the camp).

If the Mayor is inactive without a reason for a month, you basically can find a new active camp already.

The acting mayor can never become mayor. No matter how long the original mayor is absent. You can do a lot of tasks and make internal camp decisions as the mayor does but your title will always be acting mayor (until you yourself have missed a game day and lose your title) If 3 years down the road your camps mayor decides to return then your back to original status.
