What is the best Nation to choose?

At the beginning of the game you have a number of different nations to select from, all have different traits and strengths. Each come with their own Commander, but you will unlock more of these commanders anyway as you play through the game.

The most basic choice the select will be Rome, they are pretty good all round, but select whatever you feel best suits you, there is not one single civilzation that is much better than the others.
