How do I delete messages in the friend box?

When I delete does it delete for both people or no.

That’s the real question

How can I delete the chats permanently, because every time i try to start new conversation the old chats comes back , i want to delete the old chats permanently tell me how we can do it

when you log it in another phone, deleted messages still appear on another phone
