Beginners Guide - What to Do First

Thankfully the Game Guides you through the initial stages of the game quite well, you will become familiar with the menu system an where everything is. But what do you do when the helpful female assistant stops popping up and explaining everything? Hopefully we will have your answers here!

1. Build!

At the beginning of the game, you just really need to get building, as you keep building new buildings and upgrading existing ones you will become a stronger civilization and naturally start unlocking the many achievements that can be found in the game.

If you have the opportunity to open a second builder queue, take it as soon as you can, this will give you the quick boost that you need to speed through the first few levels.

2. Create an Army!

You are going to want to make an army as soon as possible, although you are protected by a shield for the first couple of days, there are such tasks as defeating Barbarians that are essential to complete achievements and some Daily Tasks, and lets' face it you're gonna want to be tooled up in for when your shield does eventually drop!

There are four military buildings that you will need to make; Barracks, Stable, Archery Range, Siege Workshop. So go ahead and make all four of these as a priority and start building up your army. While your army is being trained, you cannot upgrade that specific building.

3) Explore!

In your Scout Camp building you can send out scout(s) to explore the surrounding areas, as well as being good for completing certain achievements, you will also discover more areas and get free items too. You will discover areas that you can gather from outside of your camp, other camps that will send you free fighters, and caves that sometimes have hidden in them special... Or not so special! Items.

4) Check out all the Daily Objectives

Completing these fully bring the best rewards, although just playing will unlock most of these as you play anyway, if you want to complete the daily objectives fully, you may need to consult the list of things that you have to do to get to the final chest which usually contains 100 gems.

5) Check out the VIP Tab

Collect VIP points daily via the chest on this tab to work towards higher VIP levels which can really improve your strength in the game. As you unlock other achievements you sometimes also get free VIP points too.
