How to access the Perpetual Mechanical Array Boss
Genshin Impact Guide
Genshin Impact is a live-service, massive, open-world RPG, released on the mobile, PC, and PS4/PS5 platforms. Version 2.0 is a massive update that opens up the third main region in the game, Inazuma. This island archipelago offers a lot of new activities, enemies, challenges, puzzles, and more to the player. In our Perpetual Mechanical Array guide, we will discuss how to access this new boss found in Inazuma.
The Perpetual Mechanical Array is found in the northern portion of Narukami Island and can be entered immediately as soon as you’re able to leave Ritou and freely explore Inazuma. This is a normal boss where you have to spend 40 resin to collect the rewards for defeating it. There’s a teleporter near it but to unlock it, you’ll have to at least continue along the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest chain until you receive the Memento Lens gadget. This gadget is required to reveal hidden switches which will give you access to the underground cavern with the sakura root and some puzzles that can lower the water level and give you access to the teleporter and a direct way to access this boss. Thankfully, you’ll still be able to fight this boss even without unlocking the teleporter though you’ll need a bit of effort to go there.
First, you have to reach Jinren Island, a couple of islands north of Araumi. It’s recommended to unlock the teleporter to the northeast so you can use it conveniently whenever you want to fight the boss.

If you look up to the sky south of the island, you should see the blue portal above. That’s your key to enter the Perpetual Mechanical Array’s location.

To reach it, you’ll have to find the Electrograna branch in the southern portion of the island, on the top of the rock beside the caged dog (you can find a Metal Key on one of the crates in the island to free the dog and unlock an achievement for doing so) and a miniboss named Saiya Tadayoshi (Drunken Samurai Tengu's Nose). This miniboss will respawn even after you free the dog. Use the electrograna then fly up using the Thunderspheres to reach the portal which will take you directly to the Perpetual Mechanical Array’s area.

If you still haven’t completed the underground puzzle in Araumi that gives you access to a Sakura root (part of the cleansing ritual) and lowering the water level that gives you access to the teleporter, you won’t be able to exit the boss area via normal means since there’s an invisible barrier around the area. The only way to leave is by opening your map and teleporting using teleporters, statues, or other domains you have unlocked.
