Genshin Impact is a live-service and massive, open-world RPG, released on the mobile, PC, and PS4/PS5 platforms. Resin is a valuable resource especially when you’re in higher world levels so proper resin management is highly valued by high-level players. In this page, we will discuss the basics of making Condensed Resin in Genshin Impact and how to efficiently use them.

End-game artifacts as well as weapon and character ascension materials are acquired by defeating bosses and clearing domains. To open the chest rewards for completing these challenges, players have to spend resin. This valuable resource serves as a limiter that prevents players from excessively (and reliably) farming high-quality loot, an extensively valuable resource especially for active, high AR players.

What is Condensed Resin?

Condensed Resin was introduced way back in Version 1.1 as a means of “condensing” 40 original resin into a single consumable that can be used to revive the Petrified Trees (domains) or Ley Line Blossoms (money and exp clouds) to get double the rewards. This is a great way of storing original resin to avoid maxing out your resin count, and keep your resin’s automatic recovery always active. You can keep up to 5 condensed resins at a time.

Rewards obtained from petrified trees (domains) are still randomized and using condensed resin doesn’t have a bearing about the quality of drops you’ll get. Furthermore, condensed resins can’t be used to collect rewards from normal or weekly bosses. Condensed resin can’t also be used on events (unless specified).

How to make Condensed Resin?

To enable this feature, you have to get the blueprint/recipe first by reaching Reputation LV3 in Liyue. If you’re a new or low AR player, the Reputation system in Liyue gets unlocked by meeting the following criteria:

* Adventure Rank 29

* Complete Liyue: Chapter I Act II: Farewell, the Archaic Lord

* Complete Ministry Missions (This world quest becomes available after reaching AR29 and completing the story mission above)

You can increase your reputation by completing world quests, weekly bounties, and weekly requests. After getting the blueprint, use it to learn how to craft the condensed resin. You can make condensed resin from any crafting table and will require the following items:

* 1 Crystal Core

* 40 Original Resin

* 100 Mora

Out of the three, the Crystal Core is something that you have to farm yourself. These are collected from Crystalflies - the elusive yet magical butterfly-like creatures that reside in certain spots in different regions in the game. So far, we have four types:

Crystalfly Region
Anemo Mondstadt
Cryo Dragonspine
Geo Liyue
Electro Inazuma

Similar to other resources in the game, it will take at least two real days (48 hours) for them to respawn. It’s also worth noting that they don’t appear when it’s raining. These creatures will also actively fly away from you so you’ll have to do your best in catching them.

Crafting Condensed Resin will also count towards the following battle pass/gnostic hymn tasks:

* Use a total of 150 original resin (daily)

* Use a total of 1200 original resin (weekly)

Condensed Resin is one of the very welcome and utilized quality-of-life improvements in the game. It’s perfect for players to stock up on resin especially on the days when they’ll be unable to play the game for a while or if they want to spend both condensed and original resin on a particular scheduled domain with the character talents or weapon ascension materials they need.
