Genshin Impact Character Profiles - Birthdays, Ages, and Heights

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play, open-world RPG that was released late 2020. While heavily compared and most likely influenced by BOTW, the game has gone through a lot of improvements and additional content that continuously proved it as an outstanding title on its own. In this page, we’ll be covering the basic profile info and details of all characters currently available in the game. Please do check out our individual character guides for more information about their builds and recommended party composition.

Genshin Impact boasts a large cast of interesting characters, each with their own back stories, allegiances, and roles in the game’s expansive lore. Since the game has already grown so much since launch and has a years-long roadmap, we’re sure to meet more interesting characters.

Mihoyo didn’t include canon ages and heights for their characters. As such, we can only feature estimates and speculative values for these stats, based on the existing sources (such as the ones derived by the community) and in-game clues. As you may also noticed, the game has three model types (child, teenage, adult) and two genders (male, female) that remain consistent across all characters, making most of them appear almost having the same height.

Albedo

Albedo is an alchemical genius, pursuing the “truth” of the world of Teyvat as requested by his master while working as the chief alchemist and captain of the investigation team for the Knights of Favonius. He’s also adept in handling rowdy children, including Klee who he treats like a younger sister. Albedo is known to possess lost and ancient knowledge, and he’s also implied to be a homunculus or artificial human by his master. As such, he’s even considering himself to be a threat to Mondstadt for that reason.

Amber

Amber is one of the first characters you’ll meet in your journey. She’s a vibrant, perky, and outgoing member of the Knights. She’s equally charismatic and passionate, driven by doing what’s right and often going out of her way to help those in need.

Barbara

Barbara is a sweet and charming young deaconess of the Favonius Church, who is also a shining starlet adored by the people of Mondstadt. She’s a bright and hardworking individual who cares for her sister a lot, and will do everything she can to strive for excellence to help people and her beloved sister.

Beidou

Beidou is known to obtain her vision right after slaying the leviathan, Haishan - a feat considered quite remarkable by Xiao. She loves traveling the seas with her trusty ship and reliable crew, through her unfaltering leadership and fearlessness. Beidou craves the taste of beer and spicy food whenever she docks at Liyue Harbor.

Bennett

Benny is a vibrant and outgoing young man who loves going out on adventures. However, bad luck seems to follow him around. After a series of unfortunate events, his former comrades in the adventure group he founded (Benny’s Adventure Team) left one by one, leaving him as the only member of the team remaining. Out the kindness of the Adventurer’s Guild’s Katheryne, Benny’s Adventure Team was kept in the guild’s registry to avoid breaking poor Bennett’s heart. However, as an optimistic young man, Bennett still goes out of his way to continue moving forward, considering the vision he received from the gods as a sign that they haven’t given up on him.

Chongyun

Chongyun is an exorcist who takes his job seriously, matching his usually stoic and composed personality. However, despite being an exorcist, he has never seen or exorcised a spirit due to his immense, overflowing positive energy that drives them away as soon as he’s in range. He considers this is an unwelcome or cheap trick; despite the natural affinity to repel spirits, he still trains hard just in case he encounters a spirit that will resist his boon.

Diluc

Diluc is the wealthiest gentleman in Mondstadt and was a former member of the Knights of Favonius. His father’s untimely death turned a once ideal young man left the Knights and slowly turned into a cold, aloof and bitter crusader, sworn to protect his city without being bound to the rules. While holding disdain towards the Knights, Diluc has great respect for Jean and Lisa, identifying them as some of the better members of the Knights.

Diona

Diona is a popular bartender of Mondstadt’s local tavern, the Cat’s Tail. She started despising alcohol after witnessing the father she idolized so much, falling into drunken stupor. She wanted to bring down the wine industry and became a bartender with the intention to serve horrible drinks to bring down the industry’s reputation. However, her friend, a spring fairy, blessed her with the magic touch that allows her to turn any noxious or terrible concoction into outstanding and delicious drinks, all without her knowledge.

Fischl

As a child, Fischl is fascinated by fantasy stories and even roleplays as a benevolent princess. This carried on until she’s old enough to join and rise up the ranks of the Adventurer’s Guild, with the mannerisms of a noble ingrained very solidly to her personality and whole being. She adopted a rather unique manner of speaking, much to the confusion of strangers and those who are unfamiliar with her. Her trusty and loyal companion, the night raven Oz, translates much of what his prinzessin is talking about. Due to her strange and what some people consider childish behavior, Fischl doesn’t have many friends. However, this does not encourage her, and will welcome any allies who will go along with her roleplaying and genuinely accept her for what she is.

Ganyu

Ganyu is a modest, quiet, and reserved half-qilin who served as a secretary for the Qixing. She can be considered as a workaholic, going through frequent overtime to deal with the massive amount of work bestoed upon her. This leaves her with very little free time and even lesser friends outside work. She’s in good terms with The Crux’s captain, Beidou but their friendship must remain in secret because of how the Qixing sees the captain in a bad light.

Even with her youthful appearance, Ganyu is a few thousand years old and was even there during the Archon Wars. She’s a devout follower of Rex Lapis and has intense faith towards the God of Contracts.

Hu Tao

Hu Tao’s young age and quirky personality perfectly hides the fact that she’s the renowned director of Liyue’s Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. A whimsical eccentric who enjoys pranking people, Hu Tao is always on the move, despising sitting around and doing nothing, to live her life to the fullest. Even there’s the understandably negative impressions she incurs at first glance, Hu Tao is actually a very smart and knowledgeable girl for her age, possessing a fair amount of information about Liyue’s secrets and past - even having suspicions about Zhongli’s true identity. Despite that, she considers Zhongli as a friend and trusted subordinate.

Jean

As the acting Grand Master for the Knights, Jean works tirelessly to tend to all her responsibilities and duties associated with the role, even up to the point of exhaustion - much to her colleagues’ concern. Her saintly devotion to the people of Mondstadt made her a well-liked and popular figure in the city, including Diluc who openly despises the Knights. She has a habit of calling Diluc her senior even after his departure from the Knights. Jean looks up to Vennessa, the Liontooth Knight and a hero of Mondstadt, spending time alone by the Great Tree in Windrise whenever she’s troubled and confused.

Kaeya

Kaeya possesses a deadly combination of confidence, wit, skill, and charisma. He has a flair for the dramatic and may appear as somewhat laid-back. However, as the brains of the Knights, he will use any scheme or mind games necessary to see things fall into place as he intended. Kaeya seems to enjoy putting people in stressful and tense situations, from simply telling bold-faced lies to his allies or when confronting villains when they fall to his schemes. Kaeya is also from Khaenri'ah, a nation destroyed by the gods 500 years ago. If Kaeya is a friend or a schemer with his own agenda, only time will tell.

Keqing

Keqing devotes herself to work and holds a rather high personal standard, ensuring that everything related to the task she’s working on is taken care of and executed perfectly. Keqing is also an adamant skeptic of gods and visions. However, after the Qixing took the mantle of the responsibilities previously handled by Rex Lapis and after realizing how much the god has done for Liyue, she had a new-found respect and admiration for him. She even keeps a collection of Rex Lapis memorabilia for her own self-reflection.

Klee

Klee is an energetic young girl that’s actually an official member of the Knights of Favonius. She has a talent for creating explosives and adores similar things that explode, like Amber’s Baron Bunny. Jean looks after Klee, giving her a stringent set of rules to keep Klee and everyone around her safe. Klee doesn’t want to hurt people so she always heads out of the city to play. However, even with no dark malice, Klee still ends up causing isolated disasters that’s why she is often sent to solitary confinement as a disciplinary action. While she does contemplate her actions while in confinement, she still ends up making more explosives in the process.

Lisa

Lisa is an outstanding and incredibly talented electro vision holder. At first glance, she’s flirtatious and charming, further complemented by her very attractive look. She’s openly laid back and would prefer enjoying her day. However, this doesn’t mean that she’s slacking off on her job. In fact, she takes her role as a Librarian seriously. She will personally go out to collect overdue books, and even severely punish those who even dared steal the books under her care. When Lisa is angered since the surrounding air will become intensely electrified and her usual demeanor will quickly change into a scary and threatening one.

Mona

Mona is a prodigal astrologist, possessing both wisdom and talent in the fields of astrology and hydromancy. As such, she can immediately tell if a person is telling the truth or not, sense their intention, foresee their fate, and describe a person’s traits just by knowing what their constellation is. While incredibly talented and well-known, Mona’s main weakness is her appalling lack of financial management. She’ll spend every mora she has on astrology materials, only realizing that she doesn’t have enough for her shelter and food.

Ningguang

Ningguang is unarguably the most powerful and wealthiest woman in Liyue. She has amassed her wealth through hard work and perseverance while using her sharp wit. She owns the extravagant Jade Chamber, floating above Liyue until it was used as a kinetic weapon against a revived god. Even with the loss of her Jade Chamber, Ningguang still maintains unrivaled influence in Liyue, with the help of her massive intelligence network and resources.

Noelle

Noelle can be called a knight in a maid costume, though she doesn’t belong to the ranks of the Knights. She’s very hardworking and maintains a very high work standard. Noelle is caring, courteous, and helpful, all to the point that she ensures that the needs of all people who come to her for help gets taken care off. Jean, the Knights’ acting grand master has even considered her eligible for recruitment into the Knights but refrains from doing so since she still considers Noelle to be not ready for what she’ll encounter outside Mondstadt.

Qiqi

An undead child that was resurrected through the powers of an adepti. Undead should be given orders when awoken; in Qiqi’s case, she has to order herself to perform her duties. Sadly, she can’t retain that much memories so she relies on her trusty notebook to remind her of the tasks for the day or other important things to remember. Qiqi despises Hu Tao (the young funeral parlor director) because of the latter’s insistence of laying her to rest. Qiqi is found of coconut milk and finches, with the coconut milk she initially mistakenly thought came from cocogoat - a legendary adeptibeast.

Razor

Razor is a wolf-boy that strongly considers his wolf pack as family. Even if he’s raised in the wild, he’s good-natured and honest at heart though he can only converse in short sentences within his limited vocabulary. Nevertheless, Razor welcomes new experiences and a few selected people to go along with, especially those who do not seek to harm his lupical.

Rosaria

Rosaria has an intimidating and cold presence, possibly part of her personality, her cryo vision, or both. She’s a nun of the Church of Favonius and follows an unorthodox method of getting things done. Even her attire sets her apart from the other sisters. While she’s known to skip “boring” church-related activities like attending choirs and mass, she serves as the church’s unseen claw, striking enemies that may pose a threat to Mondstadt and its people.

Sucrose

Sucrose is an alchemist, specializing in bio-alchemy, as she intends to discover the “secrets of life”. She spends most of her time researching and experimenting, making her such a recluse that only a handful of people can have a conversation with her normally. She reveres Albedo so much that she treats him with formality even if they’re about the same age.

Tartaglia

Tartaglia is one of the most unpredictable characters in the game. He can be that annoying but welcome rich friend in one moment and a ruthless, apathetic killer in the next. This ever-changing personality puts a lot of people on the edge. And they’re right to do so; Tartaglia is known to enjoy the thrill of combat and his drive to get even stronger. He is attracted to people who share the same views as him, even fighting them to test his combat skills. Tartaglia handles any task assigned to exceptionally well, no matter how difficult or how much it goes against his values. He doesn’t even have any qualms if innocents die as collateral if the means justify the end.

Venti

Venti is one of the most talented bards in Mondstadt, and has won the title of "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt" several times. He’s also a heavy drinker, avidly prefers Dandelion Wine. Despite having a body of a minor, Venti speaks wisely for his appearance. This is due to the fact that he’s a few thousand years old, having seen Mondstadt in its earlier days and even took part in the people’s revolution against tyrannical rulers of Old Mondstadt (which is now Stormterror’s Lair).

Xiangling

Even at her young age, Xiangling is an esteemed chef recognized both in Liyue and Mondstadt. She learned the art of cooking from her father in their humble restaurant in Liyue. Xiangling doesn’t limit herself to a specific cooking style or method; she’s always on the hunt for rare and exotic ingredients in order to continue improving her skills and find new ways of incorporating what she has learned and discovered.

Xiao

Xiao is the last yaksha actively protecting Liyue from various threats, with three of his former comrades dead and one missing. He’s constantly afflicted by negative karma accumulated in his body after the endless slaughter of Liyue’s enemies over the years. This very burden has made him a recluse and loner to prevent other people from getting affected by the negative energy surrounding him. Xiao is dedicated to protecting Liyue and its people as part of his contract with Rex Lapis, expressing gratitude and eternal loyalty to the archon.

Xingqiu

Xingqiu is a courteous young man who frequents book stalls and booths looking for rare and interesting books to read. Even as a bookworm, he also sometimes writes books of his own, gaining a reputation from doing so. He’s also the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, making him extremely wealthy and influential, particularly in Liyue’s overall economy. Thankfully, even with these powers at hand, he possesses a strong sense of justice and values legitimate means of earning mora. As such, anyone who employs underhanded techniques and methods will have a taste of their medicine as Xingqiu uses whatever power and wealth he has to bring justice.

Xinyan

Rock 'n' roll is still considered as an avant-garde art in Liyue Harbor with Xinyan as the pioneer. Nevertheless, despite having difficulty introducing the musical style to the masses, she’s not discouraged and continues to press forward with fiery passion.

Zhongli

As the Geo Archon himself, Zhongli possesses immense knowledge about Liyue’s history, culture, and traditions, all gathered throughout his millennias-long lifetime. Zhongli has the appearance of a calm and composed young man and even with his wealth of knowledge, remains humble and down to earth.
