Where to Farm Wood for your Serenitea Pot
Genshin Impact Guide
Genshin Impact’s update 1.5 introduced the Serenitea Pot feature that allows players to build and manage their own manors. Most furnishings will require certain types of wood to be crafted. In this page, we will cover how to farm and identify these trees so that you’ll have an abundant supply of wood for your furnishing crafting needs.
Genshin Impact recently introduced a housing/dorm system called the Serenitea Pot where players get to personalize their own realms that act as individual and separate dimensions. For more information about how to unlock, access, or leave the pot, please check out our dedicated guide for it.
A majority of furnishings often require various types of wood to be crafted. In the current version, there are seven types of wood that you can get from the wild. To harvest wood, players must perform normal attacks on valid trees. Polearm users have generally wide reach and fast attacks, making them ideal for wood-farming activities.
Each tree can drop up to 3 pieces of wood. After a few hours usually, you can harvest wood from the same trees again. Thankfully, trees are not destroyed when you harvest wood from them; when you attack trees, they’ll just shake and drop wood. Dead or decorative trees will yield no wood when attacked.
Birch Wood
You can easily identify these trees with their white, spotted trunks. Some of the most accessible farming locations (since you can easily teleport to them) are in the area around the statue in the Dawn Winery area, and the statue in Starfell Lake.Cuihua Wood
These are the hardest to farm since these fruit-bearing trees are scattered far and wide in both regions of Mondstadt and Liyue. We highly recommend chopping them whenever you see them, even if you don’t have any use for the wood yet.Pine Wood
These trees are abundant in the Dragonspine area, especially around the west and southwest teleporters. There are also small pine trees in Mondstadt, near the windmills and the Knights of Favonius HQ. Some small parts of Liyue have patches of pine trees as well, like the area near the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula in Wuwang Hill.Sandbearer Wood
These are the common trees found in most regions of Liyue. One of the most accessible farming spots is the area around Guili Plains, from the teleporter near Wangshu Inn up to the Statue of the Seven to the south.Bamboo Segment
While bamboos aren’t that common compared to the other trees, they’re not as rare as Cuihua trees. Due to their slender shapes, several bamboo trees can occupy a small area only. There are bamboo trees in Qingce Village but the best farming spot for them is the small bamboo forest west of Wuwang Hill, along the path. (Please see map below)Cedar Wood
These are quite common in the region of Mondstadt. They’re quite common in Starfell Valley. You can check out the trees outside Mondstaft’s walls (near the entrance gate), Whispering Woods and Windrise.Fir Wood
You can easily identify these trees with their thin and fine leaves, and almost triangular shape. There’s a lot of them outside Mondstadt’s walls near the cathedral, and areas near Cecilia Garden (Wolvendom), and Starfell Valley. That sums it up for the different types of wood that you can use to build furnishings in your Serenitea Pot. Farming wood is not that tedious as you may think; you don’t really need to go out of your way to farm for wood - unless you desperately need them. You can do some wood farming on the side while doing quests, your commissions, or when you’re just exploring. Having a stock of wood ready is always welcome, especially if it will save you loading time from entering/leaving your pot to farm for wood since you can’t craft the furnishings you want.
