Genshin Impact is a live-service, massive, open-world RPG, released on the mobile, PC, and PS4/PS5 platforms. Version 2.0 is a massive update that opens up the third main region in the game, Inazuma. This island archipelago offers a lot of new activities, enemies, challenges, puzzles, and more to the player. Araumi is one such area in the game that has several interconnected puzzles. In this Genshin Impact guide, we will cover how to unlock the underground teleporter and domain in Araumi.

There’s an underground teleporter in Araumi that you can’t access/ unlock immediately. This region also leads to the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss area and the Empty Boat of a Thousand Gates domain. Though you can access the boss directly early on using a specialized portal above Jinren Island, you can’t leave the boss arena without accessing this specific cavern as part of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest chain.

We already covered the initial steps of accessing the Thunder Sakura root under Araumi - that’s the starting point. Next, we have to solve two underground cube puzzles to fully drain the water. Please follow the link to learn more. For this guide, we will start from the location of the second cube puzzle.

From the second puzzle, go downstairs again and check the first room to the left. This contains a common chest and two ruin guards. Defeat them and loot the chest. There’s an electroculus with a precious chest behind a Thunder Barrier. There’s an electrograna branch in the adjacent room but you can’t pass through the barrier until you’ve reached a higher electrogranum level. You can just take note of this location for now and come back for it later.

Next, head back to the ruins’ entrance (past the 2nd cube puzzle) and look for another round hatch/door to the left. You should be able to activate the switch beside it and open it, revealing an underground passage.

Destroy the ruin sentinels along the way and continue along this path until you reach a large cavern. The teleporter should be visible to the left. There’s also a named samurai enemy here (Mifune Satoshi). Defeat this enemy to unlock the Precious Chest he’s guarding. Don’t forget to loot the other items nearby.

Continue along the path to finally reach another large cavern with the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss below. You don’t need to drop down and engage this boss; for now, use the narrow ledges on the right to reach the electroganum. Summon one then use the Thunder Spheres to reach another electroculus behind the broken wall. From there, you can drop to the stairs to the left, then go upstairs to find a floor puzzle.
