Seven Knights: Idle Adventure Beginners Guide and Tips
Our beginners guide to the game aims to offer a few tips and suggestions that we learned while playing and to explain anything that may not be obvious. We always love to hear feedback from our readers, so we welcome and comments and suggestions for our Seven Knights beginners guide.
Grab Those Offline Rewards
As with most idle games, offline rewards can make a massive difference to how quickly you can level up, especially in the early stages of the game. You may get offered to watch a video ad in exchange for even more offline rewards, it can be a good idea to take that offer as a very easy way to grab more things for free.
Complete Missions
Tap the Missions tab at the bottom of the game area this will take you to the missions section where you have 3 options; daily, weekly and related missions. Look out for the red dot above each of those three tabs which indicate something can be claimed from that section.
You should check each of the tabs to try to complete as many missions as you can. Completing missions is the single best way to get started in Seven Knights: Idle Adventure, it will get you used to all the areas of the game, as the mission lists are often a diverse collection of the usual tasks that you would normally do in day to day gameplay. The mission lists just basically guide you towards how to play the game.
So, that being said, the daily missions are the easiest, and most can easily be completed every day. The weekly missions you'll have to keep more of an eye on and may take some grinding to complete them within the week time limit.
Let's take a close look at the Daily Missions, while they may change from time to time, they include:
- Use Item
- Summon Hero
- Clear a Daily Dungeon
- Try Arena
- Daily Log In
- Deafeat Normal Monsters
All very normal things to be doing while playing the game, just don't forget to collect your mission rewards for doing them.
The weekly missions are more of the same, just you need to do more of each one, so try not to miss a day during the week or completing the dailies to stand the best chance of completing the weeklies.
Get the Daily Dish
The Daily Dish may need a little explaining... The link to this can be found to the left of the Missions link. Basically, in exchange for watching a video ad, you can get a daily dish, this will give you a buff, according to the dish, which lasts for a certain amount of time. This is why it's called daily dish, you'll need to come back again the next day to get another one if you want another buff!
Again, not a bad exchange for watching a 30 second video ad. It supports the game developers and also gives you an item that will allow you to get more currency for the same amount of playing time.
Also, you don't need to stop at one daily dish per day, you can do a number of these and have multiple active buffs working at the same time.... I'm doing my second one while typing this! See what is on offer for you in the Daily Dish menu.
What do the Daily Dishes do?
There are many daily dishes in Seven Knights: Idle Adventure , they are all buffs, here is a list of some of them and their effect:
Daily Dish | Effect |
---|---|
Cooked Three-Legged Crow's Egg | Increases Stage Gold Coin Drop by 10% |
Fruna Shaved Ice | Increase Stage Relic Shard drop by 30% |
Pooki Soup | Increases Stage Gold drop by 20% |
Hello Gratin | Increases Stage Chest Drop by 100% |
Wyvern Egg Omlette | Increases Stage Hero EXP drop by 30% |
You can see your current active buffs by tapping your profile picture in the top left of the game screen
How to get more heroes at the beginning?
It's not clear right away how to get more heroes in this game. But it won't be long until you unlock your second hero which you can add to your formation. Here is how to get more heroes and arrange your formation.
You'll get your first new hero as a reward for map battles, look our for an icon of a new hero in the middle of the game when you are around level 40 or 50. You can then add your new hero to your formation.
Tap the heroes helmet in the bottom left of the screen to enter the heroes menu, then tap the formation button. Here you can use the Auto-Formation option, or move your heroes around in the available slots. You can also change the camera of who the game primarily follows, to do this, just tap the camera icon.
More heroes will be unlocked soon after for you as you play through more levels.
The Codex Explained
As you play through the game, you'll unlock the Codex. You can find this is the heroes menu (tap the helmet in the bottom left of the game screen). In the Codex there are an incredible number of tasks that yo can complete to win rubies. Have a look through the Codex page to see if there is anything you can complete easily. Remember to look out for the red dot to see if there is anyyhing to claim.
A lot of the rewards are to do with increasing the level of certain characters and also advancing them to higher star levels. So of course, before these can be done, you'll have to unlock the corresponding character.
So, keep an eye out in the Codex every time you unlock a new hero and see if there is anything specific you need to do related to that new character.
Don't forget to use the Auto!
If you are wondering why your characters are not moving, you've probably forgotten to turn on the Auto feature. Unless you like spending all of your playing time dragging your heroes around the game, and there may be a good reason for this, then you are better off using the Auto feature, you can find it in the bottom right of the game screen and basically the heroes will move around the game screen finding the enemy and engaging in battle.
What is Influence?
Influence is another power that is unlocked early in the game. You'll find it in the spell book, which is the third icon in from the left on the main game screen. Here you can increase attack, defense and HP of your heroes that are active in a formation.
You use gold to increase influence of these three stats. How it works is that you max them all out at level one, then the next level is unlocked, max those three stats out again by using gold and the next level is unlocked and so on, up to the max level, which is currently 42, but may well change over time.
As you get through more and more levels, the cost of increasing influence in attack, defense and HP increases significantly. Don't forget you can use the x10 and x100 to speed up your gold spending in this section.
To get more gold you can complete tasks or just wait for it to come in over time as you auto battle or come back from being idle.
How to advance an Hero?
To advance a hero you need to collect their shards as you play through the game. Look out for their icon for completing parts of the game, then when you have enough, go to the hero you want to advance and click on the Advance tab to see if you have enough shards to increase their star level.
You'll need 3 shards to get your character's first star and then 5 for the next... As the star level increases you'll need more and more shards which does make increasing the level of rarer heroes much more difficult as their shard's are less easy to get.
How to Summon a Boss?
You need to play through the game to see the Boss Summon icon appear, when it's ready you'll see it under your avatar. tap the Boss Summon button can summon the boss for that level. Look out though for the auto summon boss option, which is just below the Boss Summon button, now you have even less to worry about in the game. When you are ready for the next boss, the game will auto summon it. If you get defeated by a boss, then you'll need to level up your heroes more, maybe change their formation etc... To make them stronger.
Look at what is available you according to your level to see how you can increase your hero power. For example, the Influence option should be unlocked before any boss battles. So make sure you have used up all of your gold on increasing your hero influence power.
Hero Summons and Hero Summon Tickets
Hero summons are a great way to get new heroes and shards for existing heroes. You can get summon tickets easily by completing some of daily, weekly and repeated missions.
I'm stuck on a boss!
The boss battles can be really hard. The best recourse is to make sure you have upgraded your heroes as much as you can, and if that is still not enough, tap the stage icon at the top right of the screen and send the game back to earlier levels to grind out more rewards.
You can also go idle for a while and come back in a few hours for more rewards too.
If you are still in the early stages of the game, then once you hit the Guide-30 or thereabouts you'll unlock the potions and dishes tab, here you can open up all of chests you've collected so far, just tap the General Goods button and open them all up. You'll get a ton of everything you need to level up your heroes.
