Genshin Impact is a live-service and massive, open-world RPG, released on the mobile, PC, and PS4/PS5 platforms. Artifacts play a major role in making any character powerful and reliable in the game. With the right artifact sets and main/sub-stat combinations, all characters can be usable even in clearing end-game content like the Abyss Spiral. Some of these artifacts are very sought-after but farming them can be quite daunting and challenging for some players. In this page, we will discuss the Mystic Offering system in Genshin Impact and how it can help you farm some of the most annoying artifacts to farm.

Artifact Strongbox Overview

There are several artifact domains in the game, each specializing in their own sets which will benefit specific characters based on their element, talents, and playstyle. However, four artifact sets seem to be harder to farm compared to others. The four artifact sets are:

Artifact Set Effect Source
Gladiator’s Finale 2PC: ATK +18%, 4PC: Increases normal attack damage of sword, claymore, and polearm users by 35% Normal and Weekly Bosses
Wanderer’s Troupe 2PC: Elemental Mastery +80, 4PC: Charge attack DMG of bow or catalyst users by 35%. Normal and Weekly Bosses
Noblesse Oblige 2PC: Elemental Burst DMG +20%, 4PC: Using an elemental burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12 seconds. Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain (Mt. Aocang)
Bloodstained Chivalry 2PC: Physical DMG +25%, 4PC: After defeating an opponent, Charge Attack DMG is increased by 50% and reduces its stamina cost to 0 for 10 seconds. Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain (Mt. Aocang)

Gladiator’s Finale and Wanderer’s Troupe are both dropped by normal and weekly bosses. These boss battles are resin-heavy and you’ll only get one or two artifacts from either sets per battle. Not to mention that after fighting the weekly bosses, your only source will be normal bosses which also need some respawn time before you can fight them again. Gladiator’s Finale is universally good, thanks to its 2-piece ATK boosting effect. Wanderer’s Troupe has some niche uses but can be very powerful when equipped on the right character.

Noblesse Oblige and Bloodstained Chivalry can be both farmed from the same domain. However, that domain is considered as one of the hardest ones to clear solo (unless you have a really solid party particularly with shield and heal). The domain forces you to fight three abyss mages, one of each element (fire, cryo, hydro). You can fight these guys once you have reached the appropriate AR level. On top of having those sturdy shields and annoying elemental attacks, they can also trigger additional on-field attacks like explosive traps that follow your character, an AoE cryo field that covers the floor and deals continuous damage.

Inconveniences like this is the reason why many players consider these artifact sets as some of the hardest ones to farm. This is why come version 2.0, the Mystic Offering system has been introduced to give players a chance to get artifacts from these sets in the form of Artifact Strongboxes.

What is Mystic Offering?

This is a system that allows you to sacrifice any 3 5-star artifacts for a chance to get a random artifact piece from the selected set. You can attempt to sacrifice up to 9 artifacts at a time to get 3 pieces from your selected set. Take note that the type of artifact piece, its main stat (for the sands, goblet, and circlet pieces), and their respective substats are all randomized - just as it would when you’re farming them normally.

How to Perform a Mystic Offering

This system can be accessed from ANY crafting table. Simply change your tab to the third and last one to access the Mystic Offering menu. Select your desired artifact set, select the sacrificial artifacts, and confirm. Aside from the sacrificial artifacts, there are no other necessary materials needed for completing this process.

Mystic Offering just offers a convenient way of getting artifacts from the aforementioned sets without going through the trouble of fighting the bosses or the specific domain. Of course, the other rewards you’ll get from farming these artifacts via normal means is still better but at least you can dump your unwanted 5-star artifacts via this system and have a chance to get a better piece.
