Legend of the sacred stones - Chapter 8

This is our full guide to chapter 8 of Legend of the Sacred Stones, another exciting mystery escape game from Haiku games.

Following chapter 7 we are now inside the Summer Temple. We must track down and stop Milo to complete the mystery.

Hidden Star: In the lave flow bottom right.

Around the room are 4 ladder steps (rungs) to collect. Three are visible and the fourth is under the red carpet.

To the right under the image of a crescent moon is a different coloured tile on the floor. Tap this to open it and collect a Star Shard.

On the left is a book on a dais. Tap to view this And collect the Phoenix Key.

On the right wall is a ladder. Place the four ladder steps on the ladder and climb up to the next room.

Use the phoenix key to unlock the chest that is at the back on the right. Collect the Sun Stone.

From the back left collect a wheel. Then tap the bag to the left to collect another Star Shard.

On the right under the fan collect a Stone Scale.

Go back to the main room, then use the wheel on a slot to the top right next to the doorway above the ladder.

A skylight will open and we can use the locket.

Place the sun stone in the hole on the left wall. This reveals a star symbol to use.

Use the earth power on this symbol to make the vines grow. This lets you access the room on the left.

To the left and right of the snake statue are 2 more star symbols. Use the fire power of the locket on both of these. You can now collect a third star shard and a second stone scale.

Next use the water power on the left star symbol. This puts out the fire on the chest.

Tap to open it and collect a phoenix head.

Now use the earth power on the right star symbol to grow a vine. You can now collect villager figurine from the high shelf. You then need to use the earth power again to remove the vines so that you can leave.

Go back to the room on the far right. Place the phoenix head on the statue. It will shoot a laser at the crystal, which will then open the skylight to activate the locket.

Use the fire gem power on the star symbol to turn off the fire.

Then use the wind stone to turn on the fan and blow the ice cube to the left and on onto a switch. This reveals a barrel on the right.

Tap to view the barrel and collect the shears.

Next, use the fire gem power to turn the fire back on and melt the ice cube. Use the fire power again to remove the fire so that you can take the snake key.

Finally use the earth power on the symbol to remove the vines on the left. There is a locked panel here.

Now you need to go back to the left room (snake) and use the snake key to unlock the chest.

Collect the sun lens and the gun powder.

Use the shears to cut and take the rope.

Tap the small magnifying glass icon on the sun lens to hold it up and view the room through it.

Through this you can see there are suns around the room. Count them.

Repeat this for each of the other rooms as well

Solution:

Back in the Phoenix Room 12. Use the clues shjown on the combination lock panel to solve it.

Solution:

Enter the code and reveal a lever.

Pull the lever and a cube mold will appear.

Now you can use the water power to fill it with water.

Use the wind power to freeze the water. Then pull the lever again to remove the mold.

Use the wind power to blow the ice cube to the switch again.

Tap on the barrel and place the gunpowder and rope next to it.

Tap the gun powder to put it inside, then tap the lid to close it. Finally tap the rope to make a fuse. You now have an explosive.

Go back to the main (lion) room and place the explosives on the top left platform next to the cracked wall.

Use the fire power now on the star symbol to light the fuse and let it explode.

Use the water power to put out the fire. Then use the earth power to grow a new vine.

You can now collect a pickaxe and star pendant.

Tap on the book to the left again and you can now place the star pendant on the cover. Collect the god tile from inside. Read about the War of the Gods and then you will take the book with you.

On the back wall is a mural depicting Tempus island and many gods.

Place the god tile on to it to complete it. Then use the clues from the book to rearrange them in to the right order. Tap any 2 to swap their positions.

Collect another star shard and stone scale.

Go back to the snake room (left) and add the three stone scales to the statue. The platform opens and you can tap to view a puzzle.

Add the four star shards to the puzzle.

To solve this puzzle you need to use the color gem powers from the locket to mix colors and make the shards the five different colors shown.

You must place at least 2 shards on the grey spots to activate the star symbol to let you use the locket.

Solution:

Collect the moon stone that drops from the snake’s mouth.

Return to the main (lion) room. Place the moon stone in the hole on the right wall to reveal another star symbol.

Use the wind gem power the star to freeze the lava. Collect the Solaris figurine from the shelf.

Next use the pickaxe on the ice to break off a piece that will land on a switch. You can now access a board game puzzle.

Add the villager figurine and Solaris figurine to the board game.

Move the villager around the board and push the colored pyramids onto the same coloured buttons.

This is a very tricky puzzle.

Hint: You can only push the blocks not pull them. Don't get the stuck against walls.

Do not move the green block first, this is the last one to move.

Keep as many passages open as you can to let you move freely. You will have to move back and forth a lot.

Completing this puzzle let you use another star symbol. Use the fire power on it to open the lion’s head and go through to meet Milo again.

Talk to Milo. Then you will have another god battle with the matching runes.

For this one the runes will appear and disappear meaning you have to pick quickly.

Once done you speak to Milo and the God and then proceed up the step to the top of the volcano.

Once you have talked to Milo again he prepares to attack you.

Tap the book to view it and start the battle. Milo will use the 4 stones he has in various orders. You need to watch the order they light up and then use the book to see what one of your gem powers to use to stop him.

There are 5 attacks to block.

Solution:

The 4 stones will rise up, collect them all and then you will be able to command the gods.

Once the locket appears tap all 4 gems.

You are alive... Milo, not so much.
