The Sultan's Inventor - Chapter 1

The Sultan's Inventor is a new escape puzzle game from Haiku Games, playable through their Adventure Escape Mysteries app.

This is our full walkthrough of Chapter 1 of The Sultan's Inventor. The game begins with a cut scene section to introduce the characters and start the story.

You then begin in the room of Sultana Farah who wants you to finish doing her hair and jewelry.

Tap on the couch to the right to collect a rope.

Behind the smoking robot on the floor is a pink pillow, tap to move this and then collect a Jewelry Box Piece.

Use the rope on the purple hook on the right, this opens the curtains.

Tap on the second column to reveal a lever. Then tap this to make lights lower from the ceiling.

Collect the second jewelry box piece that also drops.

In the arch on the right tap the curtain to move it and find a green pillow.

Tap to talk to Sultana Farah. After the conversation you can tap on the mirror next to her and collect a third jewelry box piece.

Now tap to view the green wardrobe at the back. It is locked.

Hint: There are 4 dials with symbols. You can also find these around the room.

Solution:

Collect the hairpin from the top left and then open the compartment below it to find a jewelry box.

Add the 3 pieces to start the puzzle.

Rotate the pieces and complete the picture.

Finally collect the scarves from the right.

Now tap on the smoking robot on the floor. Then use the hairpin on it to let you collect a comb hand.

Tap on the mirror next to Farah again. Place the jewelry box down and also the comb and the scarves.

You will now be told how to dress / style the Sultana.

She wants her hair to be done as it was for their 10th wedding anniversary. Her veil should be the same color as Amira’s first birthday, and the jewels the same as she wore for her coronation.

Hint: Back up and tap to view the framed pictures on the wall to the left. You can tap on them for the description of each.

Solution:

You then move on to the exhibition. You talk to Mustafa, who is acting suspiciously.

Star: in the window to the right.

On the floor to the left you can find a note from Mustafa.

Next to it on the floor is a pen. View this.

Move the red jewel along the path to the end and the nib will detach. View the note that is hidden inside for a cipher that you will need.

On the left of the note is a tiger, below it a symbol and a number. The symbol is made up of shapes from the right and the numbers add up to the code.

Tap to view the large chest on the lower left. This has a tiger emblem.

Enter the code from the cipher.

Collect from the chest the Automaton Parts.

Then also note inside the lid a diagram of 4 automatons. This is a clue for later.

From the cushion on the right collect a rope belt. Then from the central table collect a wall tile piece.

Tap the purple curtain in the archway on the right to open them. Collect another wall tile piece.

Tap the archway on the left to move through to the stage area.

Collect the wall tile piece from the floor at the back.

Go back to the first room and on the back wall to the left of the wardrobe is a large urn. Move this and tap behind it to find a section of missing tiles.

First collect the key, then add the 3 tile pieces.

Hint: tape the tiles to rotate them to reveal a symbol.

Solution:

Now use the key to open the blue wardrobe. You can open the chest inside and collect some automaton parts.

In the archway on the right is another chest. This has a horse emblem.

Hint: The tiles have a small horse symbol on them .

Collect the final set of automaton parts.

Go back through the left doorway to the stage. Add the automaton parts to the floor.

Hint: Use the diagram clue on the tiger chest to drag and place the parts in the correct positions.

Solution:

Once done you will get another puzzle to solve to fix the automaton.

Hint: arrange all the gems so that no gems connected by lines have the same shape or color.

Solution:

Once done the automaton is fixed and you receive a wrench.

Go back to the first room. Use the wrench to hit the elephant trunk to break it off and collect it.

Go back to the stage. Add the rope to the pulley on the column behind the automatons. Then add the elephant trunk.

Tap to pull it and open the curtains to begin the display.

The sultan is shot with a dart and Zara is arrested.
