Echo Bay Murders - Chapter 7

The Echo Bay Murders is an escape puzzle game from Haiku Games, playable through their Adventure Escape Mysteries app.

This is our full walkthrough of Chapter 7 of The Echo Bay Murders. In chapter 6 you investigated the fishing company and found another dead body. Now you go to interview the ex wife of the suspect.

After your initial conversations you begin to check around the farmhouse.

Tap the tree on the left to see a clue.

Then also note the piles of rocks on the ground to the right.

Now tap to view the barn.

Star: On the weather vane on top of the barn

Bottom center is a Ladder step to collect.

Then tap on the door to see the lock.

Hint: the clue for this is the 4 piles of rocks.

Use this to open the lock and enter the barn.

Open the box bottom right and collect a lubricant spray.

Then collect the shovel from behind the hay bales and move the bale at the front to find another ladder step.

Exit to the front of the barn and use the shovel to dig up and collect a gear.

Back out to the front of the house and talk to Darius. Then also Chelsey.

Once done, use the lubricant spray on the mail box to open it and collect a key.

Then there is a small bare patch of ground to the right of the mailbox, use the shovel on this to dig up another ladder step.

Go back into the barn. On the bottom left is a locked box, use the key to open it.

Collect another ladder step and then find another box inside with a puzzle lock.

Hint: move the coins to the correct corners.

You then find some old paper clippings and a medal. And new information about Darius.

Go back to the house and tap the tree on the left to see a pulley.

Use the medal on this to unscrew and remove the pulley wheel.

You will have another conversation with Darius. Then take note of the pattern on the quilt on the ground.

Go back into the barn. and view the cabinet on the back wall.

Use the arrows to slide the blocks to make a pattern.

Solution:

Collect the blowtorch from inside.

Go back outside and add all the ladder steps to the ladder.

First tap to view the top of the water tower to the right of the ladder.

Use the blowtorch to remove the top and find a gear to collect as well as a clue.

Now tap the top of the ladder to climb up and find a puzzle.

Add the 2 gears to it that you have to start. You can then use the gears to rotate the maze and the switches to open and lose colored gates. Direct the 4 balls into the correct colored holes. It is easier if you release one at a time. Once a ball is in the correct hole it will remain there.

Once done the the windmill then turns on and the water will flow into the water tank.

View the water tank now and you can collect some tractor keys.

Go back into the barn and use the tractor key to turn on the tractor and make it move.

You can now collect a metal ring that was under it and also collect the hammer from the upper level.

Exit to the front of the barn and use the hammer to remove the wooden planks from the window.

Then go back inside and tap the hay bale on the upper level to push it out of the window.

You can now go back outside and collect the shears from the roof over the barn door. and also open the shutter on the top center of above the door.

Use the garden sheers on the green bush outside the barn. Then use the hammer to remove the loose board at the bottom.

View the locked box that is found inside.

Use the metal ring on the circle inside the shutter on the top center of the barn. Add the ring to it as shown here.

Hint you need to line up the 2 rings to get the correct translation between them

Collect a passport as evidence and collect a rope from the box.

Go into the barn and add the pulley wheel to the blue block at the top then add the rope as well.

Connect the rope to the hook on the box and then onto the tractor

Tap on the rats to make them scatter and find another body. More evidence.

Go back to the house and complete the chapter with a conversation.
