This is our full guide and walkthrough to Chapter 2 of The Sultan's Inventor, another fantastic Adventure Escape Mystery game from Haiku games.

After being arrested for the killing of the sultan, Zara has spent the night in a cell. Now you need to escape and work out what happened.

On the back wall below the window is a small loose rock. Tap to collect it.

Then use the rock on the closer chain on the bed to break it.

Tap to move the bed. You can then collect another rock from the wall behind it.

You can now tap on the window to reach and collect a piece of Reed.

Tap on the bottom of the door to view a delivery slot.

Open it and then use the reed to pull in the food tray.

Take the spoon from the tray. Then tap on the rice to find a box hidden in it.

Hint: Line up the discs so matching colors pair up beneath the 3 gems.

From the box collect the gunpowder and twine. Read the note.

First, use the gunpowder on the reed that is now by the door.

Then add the twine as a fuse.

Now you can use the two rocks on it to light the fuse.

Throw the homemade dynamite out the window to distract the guard.

Now that the guard has left you can tap on the blue panel of the door.

Use the spoon to unscrew the screws and remove the panel.

Hint: The note said the code for the door is 7354. That is the number that must be shown on the other side of the door so you need to set the code here that is on the opposite sides of the dials.

On the wall to the lower left of the door is a clue to help you work out the opposite numbers.

The code is 2809 but entered from right to left.

Now we are out of the cell but need to locate the secret passage.

Star: on the red column above the flames of the fire pit.

On the far left is a desk, view this.

Move the lantern and then open the 2 red drawers. Collect a knife and a chain.

Now collect a second chain from the fire pit on the right.

Tap to view a set of 4 hooks with chains on the back right.

Add the 2 chains you have to it. Notice they have different shaped links. Count these.

Circle: 7

Star: 8

Square: 9

Triangle: 3

Go back to the desk and tap to view the lock on the upper doors. There are 4 shapes.

Solution: Set the sliders of each shape to the numbers found in the chain links above.

You can now collect an unlit torch and a Dungeon map.

Use the torch on the fire to light it. Then view the dungeon map.

The rooms are numbered. Notice how they each have a particular shape.

Tap on the back wall to the right of the lion head fountain. There is something odd about it.

Solution: Tap on the stones that match the room shapes from the map in the right order.

Move through the secret door way to the tunnel.

Collect the tongs from the wall.

Now go back to the dungeon room and use the tongs to get a key from the fire.

Then return to the secret tunnel and use the key on the cabinet below where the tongs were to get a vase.

Go to the dungeon room and the vase on the lion fountain to fill it with water. Then pour the water on the four torches above the chains to see the numbers 1342.

Fill the vase with water again.

Go back to the secret tunnel, there are 4 unlit torches on the wall.

Use your own torch to light the torches in the order shown by the numbers above the other torches.

1 (far left) first, 2 (far right), 3 (second on the left), and then 4 the third from the left.

Another doorway opens, tap to go through.

Tap the rug to lift it. Then use the knife to pry up the loose tile.

You can then place the vase of water on the red button to hold it down and open the next door.

Go through.

Star: on the vines top center.

Use the knife to cut the vines on the back wall. There is a doorway but it is covered with dirt.

Collect the lion statue from the table.

Go back to the previous room.

Collect the water vase and then use the lion statue on the button instead to open the door.

Return to the third tunnel room and use the vase of water on the doorway to wash away the dirt.

This reveals a puzzle lock on the door.

Hint: Rotate all the blue arrows so that all the purple flowers have an arrow pointing in their direction. The blue arrows must not point at each other through. Tap an arrow to select it and rotate it, then tap the blue gem at the bottom to activate its laser.
