Yes, it seems they do. You can notice the difference if you have such cards deployed already in the field.

Is there anyway to search for a card based on ability?

Yes, on the deck building screen check the bottom middle right of the screen for a grey search box with a magnifying glass. Make sure to enter the keyword starting with a Capital letter eg. Flight or Revenge
