How to Level up Your Hero?

Whenever you fight in a match, your deck’s assigned hero will earn EXP. The amount of EXp needed increases as your level goes up. You’ll still earn a small amount of EXP even if you lost. Your heroes only need to reach LV10 to unlock all of their Hero Arts. Further level ups will award you with zennies, card packs, copies of basic cards (and their golden variants), and more. The maximum level for each hero is 50.

Take note that you don’t need to fight other players for your hero to earn EXP; you can hone your skills and test your deck by playing single-player practice matches against AI opponents with varying degrees of difficulty and deck composition. To access practice matches, do the following:

1. From the main menu, select Single in the lower left corner.

2. Tap Practice

3. Select the deck you want to use. You can also view the deck or edit it.

4. Select the hero you want to fight.

5. Select the difficulty. In 1-star difficulty, the enemy hero will start off with a lesser amount of life. They’ll have a full 30 HP at 3-star difficulty. You can also view the opponent’s cards.

During practice matches, all standard rules apply though you may find questionable moments when AIs use cards so eventually, as you get better cards and get more skilled, it’s going to be easy to bait and predict what the opponent AI would do. Practice matches is still great for beginners in getting the feel for their preferred decks and for testing new deck builds.
