Chun-Li

So far, Celerity’s Yawn Li deck is the best one we found (and easy to use, too!) while searching Reddit for good decks to share. The QR code for his deck is provided below. We also featured another good Champion level deck from Cooties so we can see what are the prominent cards that run within these decks.

First, the typical competitive Chun-Li deck runs mono-green and with the hero art, Yawn. This “buff” is applied to a friendly unit. Once that unit leaves the field, you’ll gain 4 MP instantly. This is why you should always activate this hero art whenever it’s available. Good targets for this hero art are friendly units that are about to be defeated or those likely to be targeted first by destroy cards. The ability to gain instant 4MP allows Yawn-Li decks to bring out the big guns earlier than their opponent or maintain field presence with low or mid-cost units.

Evasive Action is a low-cost action card that resets a target’s default attack and HP. This is particularly useful in toning down heavily buffed units like those with the Revenge or Resonate effects active. When used defensively, this allows you to reset your friendly unit’s HP back to its original value.

Emergency Strike is an action card that takes advantage of the high HP of the units in the deck. This is perfect when clearing out single enemy units or at least weakening them enough that your hitters can finish them off.(and activate their Victory effects)

Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is another staple unit card in these decks. When played, it inflicts a permanent Seal on the unit in front of it. This is a perfect defensive unit you should play in front of enemy units with threatening abilities like Victory, Resonance, Revenge, etc.

Zangief is a good 5MP 3/5, balanced unit with built-in shield that you can use to defend and maintain field presence. Iris requires no introduction as she is pretty popular and powerful that an entire set of her can help increase your deck’s consistency. In any case, Iris is a 5MP 1/5 unit with shield and MP Boost: 50.

As for the main hitters, a full set of basic 8MP 5/6 Chun-Li with Victory: +1/+2 is necessary. At 5 attack and 6 HP, the opponent can’t ignore her presence and will be forced to have a defender assigned to her lane. However, she can quickly become unstoppable if the opponent keeps feeding her units that she can easily overcome.

The other two hitters include two legendary units. First, Heavenly Kicks Chun-Li is already a threat on her own once she reaches the field. With agility and combo, she can immediately put the pressure on an opponent.

Advanced Artifact X is also another threatening unit that acquires the abilities of the units it defeats. If your opponent is not careful, this unit will have a large variety of abilities that can be hard to stop.

Paradox is a great emergency action card to have since you have the option to either provide the massive 12HP healing to a friendly unit or to your hero. The use of this card requires proper timing and consideration, since it costs 6MP.
