You keep on upgrading your facilities in your settlement, trying to max them out as much as possible. You’ll notice that for each upgrade that you do for your settlement facilities, you’ll be using resources such as wood, food, metal, and gas. All of these are important resources, but what would happen if you max out your upgrades?

In this guide, we’ll discuss what Plasma is and what it can do for your settlement. Since there are different states available in the game, you may be in the point where you have played the game for a while and you are nearing your full upgrades for your settlement, and you want to plan ahead.

What does Plasma do?

You might be wondering where this feature is since you can’t see it in the menu of the game. In your Settlement, any facility that you can upgrade will max out at level 30. So, once you have HQ level 30, you can upgrade the rest to this same level.

The Plasma feature, lets you extend the levels further. Instead of increasing your facility levels, you will now need to increase their Plasma level which uses Plasma Cores instead as resources as well. Plasma levels can be increased for the following facilities only:

  • Headquarters

  • Hero Precinct

  • Garage

  • Barracks

  • Range

One Plasma level has 5 stages each, and you get 3 Plasma levels in total. This means you can upgrade these facilities further for 15 more stages in total. In order to upgrade your facilities, you need to meet the correct level requirements. Usually, you need to upgrade your Headquarters and Hero Precinct accordingly.

  • What are Plasma Cores for?

Since Plasma levels use a different resource, you might wonder where Plasma Cores are available. These are additional resources needed in order to upgrade your plasma levels, and they’ll provide benefits for the affected facilities. In order to fully upgrade all of your facilities to the maximum plasma level, you will need the following amount of Plasma Cores:

How to get Plasma Cores: So now you know how much total Plasma Cores you need; you’ll have to farm them. They aren’t as available compared to regular resources that you can obtain from rewards, defeating enemies, or gathering.

Unlocking the Plasma level for your Headquarters will unlock a new enemy that can be located through Intel Missions. When defeating them, you can get 1-2 Plasma Cores as rewards. Since they aren’t much, upgrading your plasma levels can take quite some time since Intel Missions have a cooldown. You will need to do this as part of your daily routine now.

What benefits does Plasma levels provide?

Since Plasma Cores are hard to come by, the benefits for leveling up Plasma levels should be worth it right? There are indeed different bonuses that you can get, and they affect each facility’s functions:

  • Headquarters: Each level up increases March Capacity

  • Hero Precinct: Each level up increases troop attack boost

  • Garage: Each level up increases troop stats and training capacity

  • Barracks: Each level up increases troop stats and training capacity

  • Range: Each level up increases troop stats and training capacity

The training facilities also get bonuses once they have maximized their Plasma level. Once they are at Plasma level 3, you get the following effects for your Plasma Troops:

  • Infantry: 25% chance to get an electrical barrier, reduces damage by 36%

  • Riders: 10% chance to deal double damage using electrostatic generators.

  • Hunters: 20% chance to deal 50% damage when firing plasma pulse.

Plasmas are a late game feature that will help you with your troops a whole lot. Not only do they provide bonuses, but the maximum level really provides them a defining feature in terms of their roles Plasma cores can take some time, so make sure to do intel missions and clear plasma enemies as much as possible each day.
