Clearing out the infected in the Wilderness is a staple task that you need to do in State of Survival. But what happens if you will “hunt” for a Hero who also does the hunting? Well, in this event, you can claim Hero Shards for Travis as you defeat an infected version of himself. Collecting Hero Fragments is important to rank up your heroes, and this event is one of the ways you can do it.

Hunting the Hunter is a Classic type of event where it will recur in the game’s event schedules. Here we’ll discuss about the event’s mechanics, rewards, and more. Use this event to your full advantage and work with your alliance members for more rewards!

Hunting the Hunter Event Mechanics

If this event is in progress, you’ll get the chance to locate the Hero Travis by getting his fragments. Once you unlock him, you can still get fragments as long as the event is ongoing. In order to do this, you’ll be able to acquire Hunter’s Logs that will help you locate specific enemies.

There are two types of Hunting Logs available:

Incomplete: Summons an Infected Hunter

Complete: Summons an Elite Infected Hunter

Once used, you’ll be able to rally with your alliance members in order to take down this enemy. Clearing it will provide you with rewards, and the fragments for Travis is one of the key features of this event. You’ll just need to make sure that your battle power is high enough for the rally, and that you have enough Stamina. Hunting Logs can be acquired through these enemies as well, so having an active alliance will help you collect fragments if everyone uses their logs to rally.

Hunting the Hunter Rewards

Clearing Infected Hunters and Elite Infected Hunters will require team effort with your alliance since it’s like clearing out infected fiends. Rallies are required, so having a fully rally with enough battle power is important. So, what are the rewards that you can get? The amount of rewards will vary if you clear a regular infected hunter, or if you clear an elite. The stronger one provides more rewards, and you can obtain the following rewards:

Travis is a hunter that lets you use traps to ensnare enemies to slow them down, and he can also shoot from a distance thanks to his rifle. One unique feature for Travis is that he can reduce the Stamina consumption requirement if he’s in the team. This is handy if you’re doing intel missions, or clearing infected enemies.

Hunting the Hunter Tips

Whenever the event is ongoing, you’ll want to maximize each use of your hunting log since you’ll be working with your alliance members due to rallies. If you’re in an active alliance, you’ll have a lot of members which can have each log of their own as well. Here are some tips that you can do in order to maximize your fragment gain:

1. If you’re setting the Rally, you can use whatever troop formation for marching. Just make sure that your battle power is comparable to the infected hunter you are going to fight.

2. If you are joining the Rally. You will want to send as few troops as possible. This will let a lot of alliance members join the rally since the battle power is not filled up yet. You can even send 1 troop only if a lot of members are participating. As long as the infected hunter is defeated, all members joining the rally will get rewards.

3. You can clear regular infected as well, since they drop the Hunting Rucksack during the event. They provide good rewards, so you can choose to use the hunting logs after the event instead and it will still work.

Try to join an alliance with active members and a healthy number of people. This way all of you can benefit from the rallies that you can set out, and you’ll be able to get more logs. The group effort will be worth it since you’ll get enough fragments for ranking Travis up.
