Gathering speed can be improves in a few ways. In the research institute under City Development there are items to improve the gathering speed of different resources. Also under Zone Commemoration there is a boost for gathering during Clash of Zones.
In the alliance shop you can buy Gather Speed bonus items that give you a 50 % increase in speed.
The Part factory lets you craft and apply Trailblazer parts for your APC's that have Gathering bonuses.
Not all of these are available initially though and may need to be unlocked.
The farmer class APC has a gathering bonus to it as well.

The gathering bonus of 50% is not working. If I have a gathering time of 100 minutes and I buy the option it will not decrease it to 50 minutes. It will decrease it, but not with 50%. Any idea why? Many thanks. 0 0 REPORT

The gather bonus item give a 50% increase in gathering speed. For example This means that you will gather 150 per hour instead of 100. Gathering 300 units then will taken 2 hours instead of 3.If you have any other boosts to speed or total resources from research or parts then this will also affect the time so it may have a different overall effect.
