I let my city get to level 6 then wanted to teleport to another state. I got the 2000 diamonds for the advanced teleport. The game took my diamonds but won't let me go to any locations in the new state. What gives?
Travelling to some other states temporarily is possible with an advanced teleport (or sometimes free) during cross state events like clash of zones kill events but this is only a visit for the event duration to kill enemies.
To move states permanently there are only 2 options. Before level 6 you can move to another state with a newbie teleport that you get at the start. After you reach level 10 you can qualify for state migration. This is only open for states 1-100 currently but has been expanding so it may include more states soon. To migrate though you need to buy a token or tokens depending on your power level and will cost you real money.
