Is there a daily limit for energy fragments?

There does seem to be a limit on how many you can get from killing zombies per day. I think this is 1200 but I have only checked once. Reply below if you are seeing anything different.
I have also started seeing energy fragments as rewards in the daily challenge chests (second chest).
