During the DD I proceed to the rally point using a free teleport but when I attempt to go back to my state, I have to pay it for 2000 diamond. Why? I can no longer use the free teleport?

For most events the game will transport you back for free but only when the event ends. If you want to return earlier you need to use an advanced teleport item. (which costs 2000 diamonds)
