Which things can I do with Chips ?

So unless those additional buildings bring significant additional power, I'm just throwing money away building chips. Plus, why cant the purpose of chips be explained in the game?

Its like scamming.. the chips is needed in lvl 20 so why build it at lvl 15.. just like throwing money..

Or... .maybe.. you can start saving them up so you don't have too few chips to build something.

I'm a level 16 and I have used the chips to assist to clone (revive) qualified troops. Also I have donated chips to other players that are in the cloning process.

Chips are needed for the 3 war rooms, which then unlock other buildings that also need chips to build and upgrade, plus they are needed to upgrade the missile factory, missile silo, anti-missile defense buildings, and to make missiles.
Chips are important and they take a long time to make, and you will need lots of them.
