Every night when I go to sleep the game keeps playing withs makes residents leave of hunger because I’m not playing what can I do about that?

Upgrade your food truck and keep it stocked. The more you upgrade, the bigger the stockpile of food to "feed" your population while you are away, so the longer it takes for the food truck is empty and your people to starve.
