I always run at zero electricity. The suggested fix is to disconnect buildings from roads. This seems a silly and confusing fix. Why not have power plants produce enough electricity to accommodate all buildings or have buildings require less electricity to operate? I thoroughly enjoy this game and such a fix will go a long way to alleviating frustration.

As you build more buildings you will need more power. Build all of the Power plant buildings that you are able to (find them in the build menu under 'Electricity') and make sure they are leveled up a reasonable amount. Then supply them with Fuel regularly. You will have plenty of power. You just need to remember to top them up with fuel when you start to run out of power.
