How can I change my city name?

How can I change my city name? The name seen by all attached to your building with (alliance) in front of it ?

I have the same problem. I am located next to members of my alliance, yet they keep inviting me to move next to them. My city is also displayed as "My City" in map view. Anyone know how to change this without having to spend 2000 diamonds?

Apparently we all see our own base as "My City", but everyone else sees it as our account name (nickname). It was driving me nuts too.

The city name is your account name (nickname). You can change your name by going to your commander info screen. On the right menu expand it and tap the top option (three dots). This is your settings. In here choose Commander Info and then tap the small pencil icon next to your current name.

It costs 2000 diamonds to change your name.
