How to camp a hero in a station?

How to camp a hero in a station? I'm always out of cost... the cost icon looks like a star... how to get it more?

You increase the amount of 'Cost' you have by upgrading the Management station building. You need to buy Stationing plans with diamonds to do this though.

What is required to station a hero in the barracks?

Each barracks / APC has 3 hero slots but you have to complete the research for each APC to unlock them. The first research item for each will unlock the slot for the first hero. But then the second and third slots are a long way down and will take some time to get to.
