If I have used an 8 hour shield and there are a few hours remaining of that and then i use another..

If I have used an 8 hour shield and there are a few hours remaining of that and then i use another shield early then will those hours be added to second 8 hour shield?

No shields do not stack. When you apply a new shield the timer will restart for the new shield only.
