When splitting craft parts, would the materials returned of the same levels as the ones used to composed..

When splitting craft parts, would the materials returned of the same levels as the ones used to composed the part, or would all be of the same level of the part? What else may I lose or consume when in the compose/split process?

When you split a part, it will return the same level of material of the part regardless what materials were used to create it.

So if you used 3 purple and 1 gold materials, for example, and it made a purple part - which you then split - it will return 4 purple parts. The gold material used to create the part will be lost in this case.

You will also only gain back a small portion of the energy cores used to create the part itself. You can increase the amount of energy core by researching "Part Production" technologies.
