My food is constantly decreasing. Why is this?

People eat. It costs food to train troops.

Because Your Consumption Is Larger Than The Production

Troops consume food (fighters and archers) when you have a lot the consumption will be higher than your production rate. You will not run out though. The game will stop the consumption when the level goes down to a fixed amount. (the amount depends on your base level)
