Consume 1 energy core. What does that mean?

Energy cores are part of the 'parts factory' set of buildings. The parts factory unlocks at base level 16.

You make energy cores in the Energy refining plants that you have to feed with money. Once you have the cores you consume them by using them to craft parts in the part factory. You also use them to upgrade the parts factory.
