I made my own alliance. I don't have any members yet. I'm thinking of joining another alliance. If later on I decide to leave their alliance, can I get my own original alliance back?

If you are the only member of the alliance and you leave you will need to close the alliance. You can start a new one again later but it wont be the same.
If you want to keep your alliance alive then you can start a second game (bind your current game first). Join it to the alliance and make it the leader. Make sure you bind the new game to a different IM30 account so that it will not be deleted. Then you can leave it safely.
