Can you alter your online status? And if so how? I have someone in my alliance who status shows offline but he is actually in game or has been recently but it doesn’t show

The game has a glitch. It is nothing your player is doing manually.
It is actually quite annoying and I hope they fix this soon. As R5, I demote or remove players for inactivity. But, the timestamp has been broken for at least a week. Even my own farm doesn't update when I log in.
