How do you get shields and ports?

They can be bought or also earned as rewards. Buy them from the item store for diamonds or the alliance store for alliance contribution points. Check the daily challenge events and other events that come along to see what the rewards are on offer in the reward boxes. Many times they will include teleport items and sometimes 8 hour shields. Longer shields normally need to be purchased though.
