How do hourly challenges work?

The hourly challenges (the game calls them daily challenges) run for 55 minutes with a 5 minute break in between each. They start at 5 minutes past each hour.

Each day there is a different set of 8 challenges that repeat. The focus of the challenges will roughly relate to the Clash of Zones events for that day.

During the 55 minutes you gain points for completing the tasks listed and then get up to 3 reward chests depending on how many points you manage to earn. When you are at a low level getting to the second box can be a challenge. But when you reach higher levels you will find that the third box is easy to reach, for some challenges at least.
