How to get rid of the army? The army does not die in battle, it fills up the hospital.

If you are trying to reduce the number of troops you have then you can leave your hospitals full and any more troops that get wounded will die. Or you can dismiss troops from the hospital without healing them and remove them completely. Once you dismiss them you cannot get them back.
To dismiss troops from the hospital tap on the troops icon to the left in the healing list, then select the dismiss option.
