I have not upgraded my base to level 6 yet as it says I will lose my war protection shield, however..

I have not upgraded my base to level 6 yet as it says I will lose my war protection shield, however, when I go to the world map, I can clearly see other people's cities have bubbles and mine doesn't. I have also been attacked before despite having attacked anyone. How do I know if I have my shield up or not? And why am I being attacked if I haven't attacked anyone else and am still level 5?

The initial protection shield that you get when you start does disappear when you reach level 6 but also after 3 days, whichever comes first. If you have been playing more more than 3 days you will not have a shield any more.

This has been changed with an update protection shield is now level 8 and the time is also longer than 3 days but i didn't check to see how longAdd your answer
