Training speed can be increased through research, The basic Military research tree has items for speeding it up.
There are also some heroes that can be stationed in the 3 training buildings. These have skills that you can unlock and upgrade to speed up the training in their individual camps. Eg The Mechanic is an orange hero that has skills for the vehicle factory.
