How expand base to mine iron?

To mine Iron you build your refineries and then road leading to your refinery making sure its connected to the main road.

How do you build your refineries outside of the base

How do you expand your fence to the mines we are asking

You can buy extra plots of land around your base by tapping on the padlock icons outside the fence. These cost some rss to unlock and must be done in a fixed order. Tap until you find ones that are unlockable.

You may not be able to unlock areas with iron mines in them until you have unlocked more iron refineries.
