How can I leave the old alliances chat? I can still see it and I'm in a new alliance

This seems to be a bug. It happened to me to recently. Restarting the app will fix the chat for you, although for me the bug kept happening randomly for a few days. I had to restart each time to get back to the new alliance chat. After a few days it stopped happening.
