If you are asking about attacking enemies in another state then you can search for them before hand by changing to the target state map then looking around manually and bookmarking locations of possible targets.

When you travel across state then your location in your home state will be saved as a bubble that you can then return to. You should bookmark it before leaving to make it easy to find when you want to return.
