Can someone explain how the svs kill event works?

The SVS kill event is part of the Clash of Zones. You fight for points against the state you are competing with that week. You can travel to the other state to attack their bases or wait in your state for them to come and then fight. Points are earned for kills of enemy troops and also some for your own loses. The state with the most points wins this days event. The battle for the launch center is a separate part of this that happens at the same time.
