You can ask for help for any building or research upgrade you do. When someone helps you it reduced the remaining time left on the upgrade.
The amount of help chances you can receive and the amount of time that is take off each time can be improved by upgrading your Embassy building and also via some alliance research items.

I was merged into a new alliance and with it my help chances went from 21 to 11. I'm a lvl 31 Builder with my 16+ help card in effect in my manual. Apparently the alliance has better Alliance Technology also. I'm so confused. Why the loss? 0 0 REPORT
