Good but could be better, this is a cash player game. If you don’t have money plan of taking a long time to get close to where money players are, and trust me if you aren’t spending, they don’t care about your opinions!.
Not a cheap game but fun and the events add even more to it.
Great if you spend $$$$ otherwise your progress very slow.
I love the game itself, and my team mates are fantastic (the core group). But I cannot stand the bullies who think they own the state. They behave as though the rules only apply to others and not themselves. Also, the game developers have made it so China gets half price on all the packs, leaving everyone else struggling. They can build so fast and get castles massive and powerful and just pound the crud out of everyone else. Ruins a lot of the fun, and definitely takes the sportsmanship out of the game. They boast about it not being pay to play, but everyone knows that's the biggest line out there. The devs are really hit and miss when there's an account issue... more miss in my experience. BUT, if you get in a good alliance and stick with it, the game is really a lot of fun, and you can make some incredible friendships. If you get in an alliance you don't like, then find another one that's a better fit. They're not all the same, and that's important to know.
Excellent game but beware big money players. They have a huge advantage.

Very intelligent game, but very "pay to winn" also. So you can easily play nicely without paying, but forget about to be on the same line with money players.
The in game help is non existent. The game is good - they just need to assign a team to complete in Game assistance.

I like the game but I wish there was a comprehensive instruction manual. Some things I’ve been able to figure out but there is a lot I do not understand

Great game, have been playing for over two years now. Sucks though that if you are not a big spender there is no way to keep up with those types of big money players
It is a good game, even though I personally do not like the idea of playing any video game where constant cash purchases allow you to speed things along. Knowing full well there are players who clearly spend $100 or more every month, I tend to resist spending more than $5 every other month and I have been playing for a little over 2 years. But in the time I have been playing, other than those frustrating, if occasional times when I go after Giants or Wight Kings and no one helps, I find the game quite enjoyable.
Very nice game but expensive. And I think the bonus should be only by playing game. Not by manipulations of R4 and R5. Not cool. And frustrating.
Good game but difference of price are more cost in Europe
For a player, there could be more generous reward reciprocations.

It's good, but hard to get on if like me you're not a spender.
Its OK game that require lot of time. But spenders get things easier
Hard to upgrade key buildings need ways to obtain materials other than gem purchases. Otherwise it’s a great game
Good game,once you start building and research you can't stop,rss collection takes forever but I suppose we all can't be castle 25 with 30 mil power,should have also 2 research institutes 1 is not enough for so my research to complete,but all in all very good game , oh and I don't think the dominante alliance should have power over players in game to stop them progressing or ban chats they should be done with developers who are not playing the game,otherwise you will gey bias in the game.
I am not so good at strategy games but getting in with a good alliance has helped. It is nice to find a game I don't need to pay to still enjoy.

It's very confusing to me because I don't get much help from my alliance. No one ever answers my questions so I'm learning on my own. Fun game, but confusing if you don't understand strategy.
The game is quite interesting the main problem is inadequate guidelines on how to complete tasks

The faqs on the app doesn't help that much. There should be a way for new players to not be bullied by older players in the game.
Its a cool war game with plenty to keep you busy. I recommend joining an alliance.

Very interesting and challenging to play this game
Long term game very team oriented, very social, research tips and tricks and advice for advancement.
Playing this for a couple of days now and so far so good.

I also believe it has a few bugs.
I wished that the game would provide guidance on the challenges - Treasure Hunt for example, is this a purchase only event or can you win the tickets by doing something? I can't find any guidance on how to do it.
The constant banners are very annoying, we need to be able to toggle them on and off. And the gem packs are expensive for what you get. I do like most of the mechanics though, it makes the player have to be more strategic than the basic hit and bubble.
It’s a fun game, but far too much of a money trap.
Pretty solid early. Gets Stale late. I would play it again but really need some farms for better resources.
It is a heaven for money spenders, the more money you spend the more bigger and powerful you can become fast.
It's good so far, but the game has me stuck on chapter 5 because something is wrong with the hourly challenges.

Good game. A little glitchy at times. Hard to gather information about new events.
Lots of stratgy and very time consuming game, especially during ROC. a lot of players phase out during roc as they simply do not have enough time to play. the platform should be more generous for players spending more than 4 hours a day playing. as castle reaches level 20 and up, the only way to grow is to build many farm, which add a huge amount of time to manage all accounts.

I have experienced a few issues with the game, it glitches in the middle of upgrading/research and I have lost a significant number of gems when this happens.
If they sort out the glitches, it would be much more enjoyable to play.
Good game. I am enjoying with this game. Every time some new events and thrilling.
Challenging and great fun. The new graphics have really added to the thrill of the game. It stimulates my brain to the max. I do spend so many hours playing that the real problems of this world takes a back seat for a little while.

Passes time ok, but is too complicated to be a passive time filler. I would like it to be less complicated.
Excellent strategy game and can be played without real money, it's difficult and takes time but can be done.

I enjoy it a lot, especially now during lockdown where I can be active. I am really struggling to translate the chat in province and alliance the whole time and struggling to find an all English alliance. I would prefer to have a setting where all communication that I read, that comes through to me to automatically appear in English. Due to this struggle I tend to be inactive with the chats and loose a lot of information shared.
I would give 5 if without pay I can get orange heroes but sorry to say the more you pay the more you command...

The continuous need for resources and the difference between those who pay and those who are not are unnerving.
Excellent game, but not without disadvantageous "errors". Gameplay allows resources to be used up mistakenly. For example, when clicking Time Speed Ups, if clicking on a 15 minute Speed Up and you click the last one, gameplay mechanics allow for an error click of the next item in line (1 hour Speed Up to be used, even if there is not 1 hour remaining to be sped up. Also happens when Transporting Materials. Gameplay mechanics allow an empty cart to be called to transport and deducts Gold from Players' account. These are Paid Items in many instances and this could easily be corrected to not happen.+
A great game. With no documentation which is very very annoying. You can play months over months without knowing important issues.

It teaches you and is easy to setup and start gobbling up your time. Maybe eventually you can play without being on it constantly but I haven't gotten to that point yet
Easy to play, plenty of activities. In my view the information readily available is too scarce and limited, for instance on the buiildings.

This game is my so awesome since I like age of empires and after they closed tht game, I was searching for a long time to the similar type of game.. ROE is awesome and so addictive.. cons : it's expensive to purchase items in this game :(

I like playing Rise of Empires.
It is rather addictive.
It is very technical and there is a lot to learn.
It is difficult to grow an empire without being part of an alliance, but its a compromise between following the alliance rules and doing your own thing.
Instructions are sketchy at best and information on how to do things is non existent
It's fine but it has a lot to improve, there are too many abuses in the game and I don't see the players penalized, there are very toxic clans that should be eliminated.
